Job Description:

Responsibilities:
Supervise Mechanics and Electricians to ensure the proper functioning of production, warehouse, and facility equipment.
Oversee emergency breakdown repairs, ensuring timely completion.
Conduct inspections of equipment, facility, and systems to assess operating conditions and necessary repairs.
Plan and schedule corrective, predictive, and preventive maintenance.
Facilitate communication between departments to maintain quality standards.
Supervise and follow up on repairs/projects by sub-contractors to ensure quality and deadlines are met.
Enforce company policies, procedures, and occupational health and safety regulations.
Maintain positive employee relations to support efficient and cost-effective production.

Job Duties:
Manage and supervise maintenance staff, ensuring efficiency and coordination with Maintenance Management.
Perform installation and maintenance of production machinery and facility equipment.
Provide emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance.
Perform mechanical work, including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting.
Read and interpret equipment manuals to conduct necessary servicing.
Diagnose and repair equipment issues, conduct testing and adjustments.
Supervise and assist in preventative maintenance of machinery and facilities.
Use hand and power tools, electric meters, and testing devices.
Identify and report faulty operations or defective materials.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and orderly work areas.
Oversee building maintenance, new construction, renovations, and system updates.
Coordinate and monitor contractor activities for internal projects.
Set priorities for preventative maintenance, requisitions, and scheduled work.
Maintain departmental equipment and records.
Operate Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
Initiate safety improvements and ensure compliance with workplace regulations.
Support short-term planning and keep Management informed of key decisions.

Shift & Compensation:
Night Shift: 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.
Base Pay: $39.80 per hour
Shift Premium: +$1.20 per hour
Total Hourly Rate: $41.00 per hour

Requirements:

Technical Skills & Knowledge:
Equipment Knowledge: Production machinery operations, safety standards, raw material handling, and performance optimization.
Electrical & Mechanical Expertise: Troubleshooting, PLCs, wiring, CSA codes, and preventative maintenance.
Problem-Solving & Analytical Thinking: Use of data to drive actions, prioritization, and task execution.
Leadership & Team Development: Setting expectations, knowledge transfer, and performance coaching.

Soft Skills & Attributes:
Strong communication skills (oral and written).
Ability to multi-task and manage priorities.
Organized and detail-oriented with strong time management skills.
Leadership skills to effectively guide a diverse team.
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing needs.
Physical fitness to lift, push, and carry heavy materials when needed.

Certifications & Experience:
Dual Skilled Trades License (Industrial Millwright & Electrician) preferred.
Knowledge of local, provincial, and federal workplace compliance regulations.
Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
