Overview:
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this person will lead the effective planning of the maintenance program. This position is responsible for utilizing the Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to continuously improve the work order system with Commercial Bakeries and to search for effective ways to reduce unplanned downtime significantly within the current practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Championing the improvement of planned work through the use of the CMMS program such as identifying appropriate frequency and transitioning from time-based to condition-based
- Maintain and continuously analyze the preventive maintenance schedule in collaboration with a production schedule
- Issuing all PMs and CMs in a timely manner and closing all PMs and CMs once completed.
- Catalogue & organize stockroom inventory, maintain minimum parts inventory & consumables.
- Maintain maintenance records – service manuals and certifications.
- Generating KPI reports and presenting to the management team.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships across internal departments as well as with external contractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Assist in the implementation of capital projects
Recipe for Success:
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Planner / Buyer
- Computer Savvy, practical knowledge of CMMS and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Experience within a food Manufacturing facility
- Strong analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and communication (verbal and written) skills
- Highly organized self-starter who can maintain flexibility while consistently applying the facility’s policies and procedures.
